Special tooling is NOT required for spiral clamps.
Two or more Spiral Hose Clamps is suggested for 3-Inch hoses and larger per the manufacturer.
Both hex nuts should be tightened equally and evenly to prevent hose leakage.
CAUTION: Proper evaluation of holding power for each clamp must be determined for each individual application.
How to Tell if You Need Left/Counterclockwise or Right/Clockwise Spiral Hose Clamp?
- Have the end of the hose facing you.
- If the spiral of the hose is going clockwise, then it is Right or Right-Handed spiral clamp.
- If the spiral of the hose is going counterclockwise, then it is Left or Left-Handed spiral clamp.
The Spiral Clamps for Kuriyama are Left- Handed or Counter clockwise.
The Spiral clamps for KanaFlex are Right-handed or Clockwise.
