What’s the difference between the Gates MXT Hose versus a standard hydraulic hose?
Weight and Flexibility: The Gates MXT is up to 30% lighter than a standard hose – reducing equipment fatigue during use. It also requires 40% less force to bend – making it easier to install and route in tighter places.
Durability and Performance: The MXT hose is designed with a dense wire-braid reinforcement. It can come with an XtraTuff Plus cover, which has more abraision resistance.
Compatibility: Tested to exceed 6000,000 impulse cycles which is 3 times more than the standard industry. And the MXT hose either meets or exceeds a wide range of industry standards, making it cover up to 90% of hydraulic wire braid application requirements.
